The US Supreme Court announcement Monday that they were refusing to get involved in the national debate over same-sex marriage left intact the lower court rulings on the issue. Given the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals' ruling in favor of the freedom to marry in July, this meant that marriage equality was indeed coming to SC!
On Wednesday, October 8, 2014, Charleston Pride Partner Colleen Condon and her fiance Nichols Bleckley went to the Charleston County Courthouse and Probate Judge Irvin Condon became the first in South Carolina to grant a marriage license to a same sex couple!
You won't want to miss the opportunity to celebrate this amazing turn of events, as well as all of those who have fought for this moment throughout the years!
